Curious About Reiki? You’re in the Right Place.
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a gentle, natural healing practice that supports balance and well-being on all levels… body, mind, and spirit. Often called “hands-on healing,” Reiki involves the light placement of hands either on or just above the body, allowing energy to flow where it’s needed most.
The word Reiki comes from Japanese and translates to “spiritual energy” or “universal life force energy.” This energy is channeled through the practitioner’s hands to help restore harmony and promote healing…without pressure, manipulation, or massage.

People seek Reiki for many reasons: stress and anxiety relief, support during emotional or physical healing, or simply to feel more centered and recharged. Some come in feeling fine…just looking for a tune-up to feel even better.
However you arrived here, trust that Reiki may be showing up in your life for a reason. The fact that you’re reading this could be the beginning of something deeply supportive and meaningful. Welcome.
HISTORY OF REIKI

Reiki, as we know it today, was founded in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Dr. Mikao Usui. Coming from a family that had practiced Zen Buddhism for 11 generations, Dr. Usui had a lifelong interest in healing, spirituality, and personal transformation.
After a near-death experience, Dr. Usui set out on a spiritual quest across Japan, learning from Buddhist monks and teachers. He became particularly inspired by stories of the Buddha’s ability to heal and to pass on that healing ability to others.
This calling led him to undertake a 21-day retreat on Mount Kurama (also known as Mount Koriyama), a sacred site in Japan. There, he fasted, meditated, and tracked each day with a stone. On the 21st day, he experienced a profound spiritual awakening- he saw ancient Sanskrit symbols and received an energetic transmission, or attunement, that became the foundation of the healing practice now known as Usui Reiki.

Following this life-changing experience, Dr. Usui opened a healing and teaching clinic in Kyoto, where Reiki began to spread across Japan. His method emphasized not only hands-on healing, but also spiritual growth, inner awareness, and the balancing of the body’s energy centers – known as Chakras.
Today, Reiki continues to support people around the world in reconnecting with their natural state of balance and vitality.

Pain travels through family lines until someone is ready to heal it in themselves. By going through the process of healing you no longer pass the poison onto the generations that follow..
